From Frameworks to Practice: Strengthening Export Control Compliance

Having export control laws in place is one thing. Making them work in practice is another.

We are pleased to share that TradeKins has been engaged to design and deliver a specialised programme supporting export control and enforcement capabilities for a government agency in Asia.

The programme is designed with a strong emphasis on practical implementation, moving beyond a purely legal understanding of export controls to address how these frameworks operate in real-world settings. It explores the risks associated with both tangible and intangible technology transfers, alongside the challenges of transaction screening and the identification of red flags. Participants will also be introduced to investigative approaches that strengthen supply chain integrity, while also examining how to design internal compliance programmes that are not only robust on paper but effective in practice. Underpinning these elements is a focus on organisational factors such as oversight, culture, and decision-making that ultimately shape compliance outcomes.

We look forward to working with stakeholders on this programme in the coming months.
